Back to Basics: Building Learning in the Age of AI
The rapid advance of generative AI has made it possible to create training content in seconds. But faster design does not mean better learning. In fact, AI is making it easier than ever to scale ineffective approaches, especially “teach and quiz” models that prioritize content delivery and recall over real learning.
This webinar returns to the foundations of how adults learn, not as abstract theory, but as practical guidance for design. Drawing on adult learning theory and key ideas fr om change literature, we will explore why learning often fails to translate into action and what to do differently.
At the center of the conversation is contextual learning, learning that begins with real problems and unfolds in the environments wh ere knowledge must be applied. Participants will be encouraged to rethink their current learning designs and to use AI not as a shortcut for content creation, but as a tool that supports intentional, human-centered design.
By the end of this webinar, you’ll be able to:
- Analyze common limitations in learning design, including overreliance on content delivery and recall.
- Apply core ideas from adult learning and change theory to evaluate and improve a learning experience.
- Identify ways to use AI tools to support, rather than replace, effective learning design.
Special perks for attendees:
- A certificate of attendance from iSpring
- The webinar recording
