iSpring QuizMaker: What's New in 6.1
iSpring QuizMaker 6.1 contains a great deal of the most requested and advanced new features. A major improvement
in QuizMaker 6.1 is the ability to create a survey, which was indeed long-expected. Many of the already
familiar features were upgraded introducing new opportunities like adding formulas, giving individual
feedback to each question, etc.
Text Styles and Hyperlinks for Questions and Feedback
With this feature, you can customize size, font, color, and style of a question and a feedback message.
Now you can not only create beautiful and original quizzes, but also make them more effective by
inserting hyperlinks to useful resources when asking questions or giving feedback. Text in a blank
slide can be customized as well.
Embedding a Flash Movie
Now you can add either a video file or a Flash movie to each question. Click the "Flash" icon on
the Video tab to insert Flash.
Number of Attempts to Take a Quiz
Now you can offer user from 1 to 10 attempts to take the quiz, or allow the unlimited quiz attempts.
If a user fails your quiz with more than one possible attempt, he or she can retake the quiz with a "Retake
Quiz" button.
Customizable Result Letter Template
You can use this feature to receive quiz results to your email in a more convenient form. Customize
name and subject of the letter to easily manage incoming reports. You can also customize details of
each question that will be displayed in the letter.
Custom Points for Multiple Choice and Multiple Response Questions
iSpring QuizMaker now allows you to customize the number of points that a student receives for each
answer. For example, number of received points may depend on whether user chose all correct options,
more than half, or only one of them.
Time Report for Quizzes with Limited Time
If you are creating a quiz with a limited completion time, it is always useful to know if the time
was enough to think and give the correct answer. With this feature, you can track how much time a
student actually spent to complete the test. Also, you can review failed test to see if a student
used the provided time rationally.
Setting Completion Statuses for an LMS
If you are publishing AICC or SCORM 1.2 quizzes, you can set the completion status that will be sent to
the LMS. This feature allows rating a quiz as passed/failed or complete/incomplete.
Disable Quiz Review
If quiz results aren't sent to your email or server for some reason, there will be no review available for the quiz. This can prevent students from cheating, even if quizzes are taken offline.
Usability Improvements
iSpring QuizMaker includes a number of usability improvements that will ensure positive experience
of using the software. Check out the following opportunities:
