Registering iSpring Platform

It is important to go through the registration and activation process before you start using full or trial version of iSpring Platform. PPT to Flash SDK does not allow presentation conversion until iSpring Platform is activated or registered in the trial mode.

iSpring Platform includes the License Activation Wizard which guides you step-by-step through the license activation process. The Activation Wizard can be launched from the Start Menu->Programs->iSpring Platform or from the iSpring Platform Code Builder.

This article describes the following topics:

Starting Trial Usage of iSpring Platform

The 30-day trial period allows evaluating the product features without any functional restrictions. The trial version of PPT to Flash SDK provides all available features and produces Flash content of the same quality as the full version.

To start the activation process, open the iSpring Platform Activation Wizard and choose the Start free trial usage option, then click Next.

Trial license activation via COM API

Another way to specify the trial license details is to use the PPT to Flash COM API:

Visual Basic Sample

Sub iSpringSample()
    Dim pc As New iSpringAS3SDK.PresentationConverter

    pc.LicenseName = "John Smith"
    pc.LicenseNumber = "BVTCR-BYD21-ZPTDR-4BPQM-940M9-KN4XQ-KP"
End Sub

C# Sample

using System;
using iSpringAS3SDK;

class iSpringSample
{
    static void Main(string[] args)
    {
        PresentationConverter pc = new PresentationConverter();

        pc.LicenseName = "John Smith";
        pc.LicenseNumber = "BVTCR-BYD21-ZPTDR-4BPQM-940M9-KN4XQ-KP";
    }
}

Trial license activation via Command Line Interface

The trial license details can be also passed to iSpring Platform through the Command Line Interface:

iSpringSDK.exe a "John Smith" "BVTCR-BYD21-ZPTDR-4BPQM-940M9-KN4XQ-KP"

Trial period limitations

The only limitations of the trial usage are a 30-day period and an evaluation banner covering a part of the slide area as you can see in the picture below.

Figure 4. Trial mode evaluation banner
A free trial license can be obtained on the iSpring Solutions web site. To start a trial of iSpring Platform, enter the license details in the iSpring Platform Activation Wizard.

Activating the iSpring Platform License

To remove the trial period limitations, you need to obtain the iSpring Platform license and complete the activation procedure.

The iSpring Platform components are licensed separately. Please make sure that the purchased license covers usage of the required components in a production environment.

  • PPT to Flash SDK for AS3. Includes the software components for automated presentation conversion into Adobe Flash Movies in ActionScript 3 language.
    • AS3 Player Pack. Includes the Streamline player template that can be used along with the PPT to Flash SDK for AS3. If the iSpring Platform license doesn't cover the usage of AS3 Player Pack, the Flash presentations created with the skins of this player pack will include an evaluation banner.
  • PPT to Flash SDK for AS2. Includes the software components for automated presentation conversion into Adobe Flash Movies in ActionScript 2 language.
    • AS2 Player Pack. Includes additional player templates to use along with the PPT to Flash SDK for AS2. If the iSpring Platform license doesn't cover the usage of AS3 Player Pack, the evaluation mode banner will be added to each Flash presentation created with the skins of this player pack.
