The student should enter a correct number to answer this question type.

To add this question, go to the Question menu and click Numeric.

Enter the text of the question, then specify the answer in the Acceptable Numeric Values field. The answer can be an integer or a decimal. A decimal point is used for fractions.

 

You can enter several conditions for the correct answer. The answer is considered correct if any of the conditions are met. Each condition can be one of the following types:


  • Equal to [number] — The answer is considered correct if the specified value is entered.
  • Between [number1] and [number2] — The answer is considered correct if a number is entered in the specified range. Boundary values are included in the set.
  • Greater than [number] — The answer is considered correct if a number greater than the specified number is entered.
  • Greater than or equal to [number] — The answer is considered correct if the specified number or more is entered.
  • Less than [number] — The answer is considered correct if a number less than the specified number is entered.
  • Less than or equal to [number] — The answer is considered correct if the specified number or less is entered.
  • Not equal to [number] — The answer is considered correct if any number other than the specified number is entered.
