Many businesses require employees to be comfortable having professional conversations with clients and\/or colleagues, and simulating common scenarios is an excellent way to practice safely without any real-life consequences to the business.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Check out new features in iSpring Suite 8\" href=\"\/blog\/ispring-suite-8-coming-soon\/\">iSpring Suite 8<\/a> brings this much-needed feature to e-Learning professionals in a single supercharged toolkit that is truly the all-in-one solution for teaching and training through technology.<\/p>\n<p>So what can you do with iSpring TalkMaster? Here&rsquo;s a video and a step-by-step walkthrough to get you started:<\/p>\n<p><iframe><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Creating-a-Scenario-with-iSpring-TalkMaster\">Creating a Scenario with iSpring TalkMaster<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>To open TalkMaster, double-click the iSpring Suite 8 icon on your desktop, and from the Quick Start window, go to the <span class=\"emphasis\">Dialogs<\/span> tab. From there, you can create a new dialog, or open a previous one. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full img_position\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/01-open-dialog-trainer.png\" alt=\"01-open-dialog-trainer\" width=\"670\" height=\"533\" \/>\n<p>You can also go to the iSpring Suite 8 tab on the PowerPoint ribbon and click <span class=\"emphasis\">Dialog<\/span> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/15-dialog.png\" alt=\"15-dialog\" width=\"42\" height=\"56\" align=\"center\" \/>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Once TalkMaster is open, click <span class=\"emphasis\">New Scene<\/span> to create the first scene. Then, click the box that says &ldquo;No character&rdquo; to add a character and background.\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full img_position\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/02-click-new-scene.png\" alt=\"02-click-new-scene\" width=\"1040\" height=\"714\" \/>\n<\/li>\n<li>The character gallery will open up. Choose a character to appear in this scene, and then go to the <span class=\"emphasis\">BACKGROUND<\/span> tab to choose a background from the background gallery. When you&rsquo;re done picking your character and background, click <span class=\"emphasis\">CLOSE<\/span>.\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full img_position\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/03-choose-character.png\" alt=\"03-choose-character\" width=\"825\" height=\"504\" \/>\n<\/li>\n<li>Back in the scene dialog, your character and background images will be accessible from the <span class=\"emphasis\">IMAGES<\/span> tab if you&rsquo;d like to change them later.\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full img_position\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/04-images.png\" alt=\"04-images\" width=\"528\" height=\"286\" \/>\n<\/li>\n<li>Back on the <span class=\"emphasis\">CONTENT<\/span> tab, enter some text for the character to say, and then click <span class=\"emphasis\">Add replies<\/span> to give the user some choices as to how to respond to the character.\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full img_position\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/05-add-replies.png\" alt=\"05-add-replies\" width=\"528\" height=\"286\" \/>\n<\/li>\n<li>Add as many reply choices as you like; just click <span class=\"emphasis\">Add reply<\/span> to add another one and then type in the text. When you&rsquo;re done adding replies, you can start linking them. Click and drag the link icon off the scene dialog to create a new scene that&rsquo;s linked to that answer. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full img_position\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/06-add-reply.png\" alt=\"06-add-reply\" width=\"525\" height=\"452\" \/>\n<div style=\"border-top: 1px dashed #b2bdc1; border-bottom: 1px dashed #b2bdc1; background: url('\/images\/articles\/idea-icon.png') no-repeat 8px 16px; padding: 23px 0px 24px 47px; margin: 40px 0px 40px 0px;\">\n<div style=\"padding-left: 19px;\">\n<p style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12px; font-style: italic; color: #747474; line-height: 22px; margin: 0px; padding: 7px 0px 6px;\">*<span class=\"emphasis\">TIP<\/span> In order to make the scenario helpful, you should add some possible replies that will have negative consequences so the user will learn what not to say.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>Drag your new scene wherever you like on the dialog map, then let go of the mouse button to create it.\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5175\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/07-new-scene.png\" alt=\"07-new-scene\" width=\"524\" height=\"347\" \/>\n<\/li>\n<li>Type in the character&rsquo;s answer. You can also change his emotion if you like. This not only makes a scene feel more natural, but can also encourage good choices and discourage bad ones. The red flag indicates that scene is the first scene in the scenario. The yellow triangle means that one of the replies is not linked to any scene.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>That second reply was pretty negative, so let&rsquo;s give it an appropriate reaction. Change the emotion to <span class=\"emphasis\">Angry<\/span>, and instead of adding possible replies, add a message to your user to provide constructive feedback.\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full img_position\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/09-angry.png\" alt=\"09-angry\" width=\"765\" height=\"466\" \/>\n<\/li>\n<li>Add your message text. Then, once again drag the link icon out of the scene dialog to link it to another scene. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full img_position\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/10-add-your-message-text.png\" alt=\"10-add-your-message-text\" width=\"523\" height=\"423\" \/>\n<div style=\"border-top: 1px dashed #b2bdc1; border-bottom: 1px dashed #b2bdc1; background: url('\/images\/articles\/idea-icon.png') no-repeat 8px 16px; padding: 23px 0px 24px 47px; margin: 40px 0px 40px 0px;\">\n<div style=\"padding-left: 19px;\">\n<p style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12px; font-style: italic; color: #747474; line-height: 22px; margin: 0px; padding: 7px 0px 6px;\">*<span class=\"emphasis\">TIP<\/span> If you choose not to link a scene to another scene via message or reply choice, then the scenario will end. The user will be given two options: <span class=\"emphasis\">Restart<\/span>, or <span class=\"emphasis\">Finish<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>When you link a message to another scene, the user is shown a <span class=\"emphasis\">Continue<\/span> button. By linking this failed scenario back to the first scene, the user is automatically given another chance to get it right.\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full img_position\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/11-continue.png\" alt=\"11-continue\" width=\"662\" height=\"446\" \/>\n<\/li>\n<li>Whenever you like, you can preview your conversation scenario by clicking <span class=\"emphasis\">Preview<\/span>.\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full img_position\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/12-preview.png\" alt=\"12-preview\" width=\"1040\" height=\"714\" \/>\n<\/li>\n<li>The preview window will open. Here, you can see the character&rsquo;s dialog with the answer choices on the bottom left. At any time, you can edit the current scene, go to the previous scene, restart the scenario, or close the preview by clicking the associated buttons on the toolbar.\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full img_position\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/13-preview-window.png\" alt=\"13-preview-window\" width=\"976\" height=\"729\" \/>\n<\/li>\n<li>When your conversation scenario is ready, click <span class=\"emphasis\">Save and Return to Course<\/span>.
