I See an Error Message When I Start Screencasting

Users of Windows N and Windows KN editions may see an error window when trying to start iSpring Cam Pro:

Note: If you do not use Windows N or Windows KN editions, please contact the iSpring Support Center.

Windows N or Windows KN editions do not have some components, like Windows Media Player and Windows Media Center. The lack of those components makes it impossible to use media with iSpring Suite 9.0.

Note: To find out the edition of your OS, follow the instructions given in this link.

To solve the issue:

  1. Download Media Feature Pack via the links below.

    Note: Users of Windows 10 will see several packages to download. The choice depends on the Windows version. To find out which version of Windows your PC is running, press Win + R, type winver, then click on OK.

  2. Install Media Feature Pack on your PC.

  3. Restart your computer.

  4. Open your iSpring Suite presentation.

  5. Click on Screen Recording on the iSpring tab at the top and continue creating your courses.
