Managing Questions

QuizMaker supports ten question types.

Question Types Parameters

True/False

A student is asked to define whether a statement is True or False.

True/False

Select the correct option with the radio button.
NOTE: you don't have to go with the default TRUE or FALSE. You may change the text of the answers - just click the option and edit the text.

Multiple Choice

Multiple Choice

A student has several alternatives to choose from with only one correct answer.

Multiple Choice

You can add as many answers as you need and change the text. You can choose a correct answer with the radio button and arrange answers in the desired order with the Move Up and Move Down buttons.

Multiple Response

Multiple Response

A student has several alternatives to choose from, and one or more of them can be correct.

You can add as many options as you want, arrange them in the desired order, and select correct answers with the corresponding checkboxes.

Type In

Type In

A student should type an answer in the text field.

You can specify one or more acceptable answers. For example, for the question ′What is the star of our system′ you can specify ′Sun′ and ′the Sun′ as correct answers.

Note: answers are case-insensitive.

A student should match pairs of words or phrases.

Add several pairs of words or phrases. They will be shuffled, when displayed to a student.

A student should arrange items in the correct order.

Add answers and arrange them in the correct order. They will be shuffled, when presented to a student.

A student should enter a number to answer this question type.

Numeric Answers

You can specify whether the answer should be an exact number, greater/less than the specified number, or can belong to a specified range. Several possible answers can be specified.

Fill-in the Blank

Fill In Blanks

A student is asked to fill in the blanks in a given text.

Fill In Blanks

Type a text and replace some words with blanks. Then type correct answers in each blank. You can also provide several correct answers for each blank by clicking the Add a new item in the drop-down list.
NOTE: answers are case insensitive. For example, there is no difference between Sun and sun.
Tip: if you select a word or a phrase and then click Insert a blank, the selected text will be converted into a blank with a correct answer.

A student is offered to choose a correct answer from a drop down list with possible answers.

Replace one or more words or phrases in the text with a drop-down list of possible answers using the Insert a list button. Each list should contain at least two items. Select the correct item in the list using a radio button.

Word Bank

Word Bank

A student is offered to fill in the blanks in sentences with words from a word bank.

Word Bank

Type a text and replace some words with placeholders. Then type correct answers in each placeholder. To make the task harder, you may provide one or more words or phrases in the Extra Items list.
