Personal Settings

Users of iSpring Online can modify their login parameters – email address and password. To change an email address or password, click the Setttings tab in the title menu.

Change E-mail Address

On the Settings page, click the Change E-mail Address link in the Personal Settings menu.

  1. Enter your new email address in the New E-mail field.
  2. Re-enter your email address in the Confirm New E-mail field.
  3. Click the Save button.

Once you click the Save button, you will see a notification that your email address has been changed. Since that moment all emails from iSpring Online will be sent to the new address, and you must use this address to log into the system.

Change Password

To change your password

  1. On the Settings page, click the Change Password link in the Personal Settings menu.
  2. Enter your new password in the New Password field.
  3. Re-enter your password in the Confirm Password field
  4. Click the Save button.

Once you click the Save button, you will see a notification that your password has been changed. Since that time you must use your new password to log into the system.

Note: a password must contain at least four symbols; otherwise you’ll be prompted to choose another password.

Account Settings

A user of iSpring Online with administrative rights is allowed to modify settings of the account and portal. To change account settings, open the Settings tab in the title menu.

Change Account Name

To change the account name, which is used to identify your iSpring Online account

  1. In the Account Settings menu on the Settings page, click the Change Account Name .
  2. Type a new account name in the New Account Name field.
  3. Click the Save button.

After that you will see a notification that the account name has been changed.

Change Account URL

To change the URL of your personal portal

  1. In the Account Settings menu on the Settings page, click the Change Account URL link.
  2. Type a new subdomain name for your portal in the New Account URL field.
  3. Click the Save button.

Once you click the Save button, you will see a notification that your account URL has been changed. Ten seconds later you will be automatically redirected to the new URL, where you will have to login again. You can also go to the new URL manually by clicking the “ here ” link in the notification text.

Note: changing your Account URL will require all publishers to change their publish settings in iSpring products and will change the URL that publishers use to login to iSpring Online. Existing content will be preserved, but links to content items will have to be modified according to the new URL of your account.

Add a Custom Logo

You can add a custom logo to your portal, which will be displayed to users, when they login to view content.

Note: it will replace the iSpringOnline logo on top (above the title menu).

In the Account Settings menu on the Settings page, click the Add a Custom Logo link.

You can choose from three options here:

  1. Use iSpring Online Logo
  2. Use Account Name as Custom Logo
  3. Use Custom Logo Image

If you have chosen Use iSpring Online Logo or Use Account Name as Custom Logo , just click the Save button.

If you have chosen Use Custom Logo Image

  1. Click the Browse button and then choose your logo to upload in a new window. You will see a file name of your logo in the Logo Image field and a preview of your logo below.
  2. Click the Save button.

Note: a file with your custom logo must be in one of the following formats: jpg, png, gif, bmp. Besides, its size must not exceed 100 Mb.

Publish Settings

You can change how people publish content for this iSpring Online account.

In the Account Settings menu on the Settings page, click the Publish Settings link.

To specify the default access mode to newly uploaded content, choose between Private and Public radio buttons in the New content is uploaded by default line.

If you choose Private , only selected users can view content. In the other case, anyone with the link to this content can view it.

It’s possible to upload content to your iSpringOnline account in two ways: from the web interface or from our software. However, you can disable the option to upload content from the web site.

To disable the option to upload files from the web interface, deselect the Enable Manual Upload checkbox.

To apply the changes you’ve made, click the Save button.

User Portal Settings

You can configure how your portal looks, change the welcome title and the instruction message, show or hide certain parts of your portal.

In the Account Settings menu on the Settings page, click the User Portal Settings link.

To forbid users to log into your portal and view private content they are normally allowed to open

  • Deselect the Enable User Portal checkbox.

This option is enabled by default, so that users can log into your private portal and view all content they have permission to view.

To change the Welcome title , edit it in the corresponding text field.

You can also change the Instruction message by editing the corresponding text field.

To show or hide content for public view, select or deselect the Show public content items checkbox.

To show or hide the History tab that logs all user’s activities, select or deselect the Show user history reports checkbox.

To show or hide Filter by tags on the main page, select or deselect the Show tags checkbox.

To preview the changes you’ve made, click the Preview User Portal link. It will open a new browser window with your portal how it looks for your users.

To apply all the changes you’ve made, click the Save button.

Other Settings

In the Account Settings menu on the Settings page, click the Other Settings link.

On this page you can specify your local timezone, configure notifications, export data options and the dashboard page.

To change the local timezone

  • Choose your local timezone from the corresponding drop-down menu.

This setting affects dates of all events in your portal and selection of report periods.

Any report can be exported to CSV or XML. To include full user profile data in exported CSV and XML reports, select the corresponding checkbox.

If you want to be notified, when users change their email addresses, check the Notify me when users change their e-mail addresses checkbox.

To show brief reports on the Dashboard page, select the Display reports on Dashboard page checkbox (refer to Dashboard for details).

You can select which reports to show on the Dashboard page with corresponding checkboxes:

  • Popular content
  • Newest content
  • Active users
  • Active groups

To apply your changes, click the Save button. You will see a notification that the settings have been changed.

iSpring Online Membership

In the Account Settings menu on the Settings page, click the iSpring Online Membership link. This page is available only to the owner (creator) of a given iSpring Online account. The “iSpring Online Membership” page shows your current account type and its limitations.

If you need more features, you can always upgrade your account

  1. Click the Upgrade Your Account button.
  2. On the “Sign Up for iSpring Online” page at www.ispringsolutions.com , follow instructions to complete the purchase (refer to Buy for details).

If you don’t need your iSpring Online account anymore, you can cancel it.

To remove your account

  • Click Please terminate my account on the bottom of the page.

Warning: once your account is canceled, all your content items, users, groups and statistics will be immediately and permanently deleted. This operation cannot be undone!

To cancel autorenewal of your account

  1. Click the Cancel Account Autorenewal link.
    Cancel Autorenewal
  2. Click OK in the confirmation window.
    The autorenewal feature will be disabled.

 

iSpring Online Video Tutorials
